brother, Vergil, and a man named Arkham release the

to unlock the gate to the demonic realm. While

working toward confronting his brother, Dante

encounters Lady, a fellow devil hunter, and the mysterious

Jester, an enigmatic figure that aids Dante throughout his

journey.
